Christmas and New Years have come and gone but cocktails are here to stay! With that being said; I was in charge of drinks and a side dish for christmas dinner, the drinks were a huge hit, the brussel sprouts were anything but (a task to undertake in 2013). So today I will share the cocktail recipe with you.
Nigella Lawson’s Poinsettia Cocktail:
- 750 ml bottle of chilled Prosecco or other fizzy dry wine
- 1/2 cup Triple Sec (Cointreau, Grand Marnier)
- 2 cups cranberry juice
- Mix the Prosecco, Triple Sec and juice together and serve.
To spruce up the drink I added a festive garnish…
- frozen cranberries
- fresh mint leaves
- Skewer the cranberry and mint leaf (alternating each ingredient)
